Energent to Connect Auto Manufacturer EMIS to New HydroOne Transfer Station
Waterloo, ON, 22-Jan-07 - Energent (www.energent.com) has been contracted by an Ontario-based automobile manufacturer to upgrade the auto company's Energy Management Information System (EMIS) to connect with a new hydro transfer station. The new hydro transfer station, to be built and operated by HydroOne, is slated to come on-line in early summer of 2007.
The EMIS upgrade will ensure data collection is transitioned seamlessly from the existing hydro station to the new HydroOne transfer station. Energent Utility Data Link (UDL) devices will allow the system to integrate directly with the transfer station control system. Once integrated, the UDL devices will collect and aggregate accurate and dependable energy information to support the ongoing energy conservation initiatives undertaken by the automobile manufacturer.
The EMIS technology platform provided by Energent will feature system architecture redundancy for added reliability as well as the use of internet-based technology to lower the total cost of ownership (TCO) typical when collecting and aggregating real-time energy information.
