Energent can also create Customized Solutions by adding additional functionality to existing Energent products.
Customers may choose to add the following functionality:
- Fuel switching. Delivers the information needed to evaluate and select the best fuel for operations (i.e., switching to distributed generation or renewable energy sources).
- Peak demand management. Collects the information necessary to avoid peak energy prices and contract cost penalties. Also called load curtailment, load shedding, or load switching.
- Demand response. Includes information required for implementation, participation and evaluation of energy data required by demand response programs offered by utilities. Participating facilities receive financial incentives in exchange for curtailing or shedding their load during peak periods.
- Power quality management. Provides data to help avoid low power-factor quality (and associated voltage drops) which may trigger penalty fees by the utility and cause reduced efficiency and/or failure of critical equipment.
